Brief Information

Introduction

The Standard Information Technology - SIT is a private Institute situated in Zanzibar Island in the United Republic of Tanzania.

The Institute was established in 2003 and is registered by the Zanzibar Ministry of Education and Culture as well as the Government of Zanzibar.

We are an affiliate of the Institute of Commercial Management -ICM in the UK. The ICM, Examination Board based in the United Kingdom recognizes SIT as its approved Teaching and Examination Center for Certificate, Diploma, Advanced Diploma, and Associate Degree Courses.

Facilities and Methodologies

At SIT, students meet teachers who, in no time, they become friends ready to help them in everytime the students need assistance.

Information Technology (IT) students are assured to have access to networked computers with full study resources during their practical, being assisted by professionals and technicians in the area of computing. Each student is assured to have their computer - n0 sharing.

For students undertaking Commercial, Business Management, Accounting and Finance, and Tourism Studies, time-to-time discussions are available and teachers are there to help them whenever the assistance is needed.

Students learning International Languages are carefully taught in ways to help them build their competences in Reading, Listening, Speaking, Understanding, and Writing. Daily discussions are set for students of different levels, weekly debates, and monthly conferences are also planned in order to ensure the students get the best to help them master foreign languages.

Most important, at SIT, a high education level is available at an affordable price to ensure everyone can get the education they deserve.
